About Me

Kia ora,

My name is Andes Feng. I was born and raised in Sydney, and moved to Auckland in 2021. Since then, I have truly embraced the local culture, stunning scenery, and the incredible outdoor lifestyle here. I am bilingual and speak both English and Mandarin. I hold a Master’s degree of Counselling and a Graduate Diploma in Psychology Advanced from Monash University, as well as a Bachelor’s of Psychological Science from UNSW.

I come from a counselling background with experience working primarily with children, teenagers, and older adults. My counselling approach is eclectic, drawing on a variety of therapeutic techniques, including Person-Centred Therapy, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) and Mindfulness techniques. I have a special interest in anxiety and stress management, life transitions, self-esteem and personal development, and LGBTQIA+ support.

I believe that each individual has the inner resources to know what is best for them and what they truly want in life. I honour and respect my clients’ decisions, preferring to work collaboratively with them rather than taking a directive approach. My role is to provide a safe and comfortable space where clients can freely explore their thoughts, emotions, and behaviours.

I am registered with the New Zealand Association of Counsellors (NZAC) and hold provisional membership.
